Fantastic opening day for pollock/jigging season!! Some nice size pollock on board and some redfish! This was a marathon 12 hour trip, which we will be adding sporadically throughout the fall and always every Thursday! Other than marathon trips we will have 7a-4p trips Friday-Sunday.
Excellent two day trip aboard the Freedom this weekend. Beautiful pollock and cusk the first day, and some fabulous bull haddock on day two. A surprise guest appearance from Mr. Monk fish as well. All aboard this Thursday for your last chance to land some Gulf of Maine haddock! Continue reading
The Yankee Clipper never has a case of the Mondays! Exciting day with Captain Rob. Plenty of fish to be had and they caught (and released) 5 huge wolf fish!! Below is Captain Rob with one of them. WOW!
Another awesome weekend here at the Yankee Fleet! Great weather and plenty of fish on board the Clipper with Captain Rob. They caught a good mix of haddock, pollock, cod, cusk. Dogfish were a bit pesky on Saturday but they worked through them and still brought home a good amount of fish!
Another excellent overnight trip where we could actually take some cod home!! The guys brought home about 700 fish. 80% cod, 20% mix of haddock, pollock, and cusk. Awesome work by Captain Matt and Mike & crew!!
Both Wednesday and Thursday were great full day trips on the Yankee Clipper! Lots of big haddock on deck with some cusk and pollock mixed in. Captain Rob knows how to find em’!
Yet another FANTASTIC overnight trip to Cashes Ledge this past Thursday! With the help of Captains Matt and Mike they landed another halibut! The biggest one yet at 106 lbs. and 65″!
Awesome half day trip this morning!! All kinds of fish on deck the entire time, cusk, haddock and pollock. Only about two more weeks of half day trips! Our first Cod trip outside the Gulf Of Maine (GOM) in 2017 was a huge success. We ended up with a very nice overall catch 65% Cod and 35% mix of Haddock and Pollock. This obviously is a win win, and set a nice precedent for more trips. We are now making the change to our last two overnight trips in August, the 24th and the 31st, and will fish outside the GOM (south of 42 degrees latitude), instead of going to Cashes or Fippennies. We will also be adding trips outside the GOM after the closures of haddock on September 17th. These dates will be posted on our website after the August 24th trip.We look forward to fishing with everyone and appreciate your patronage. Here are some customer photos from the August 10th trip. Thanks Capt Tom O.
Captain Matt has done it again! Landed not just one, but TWO halibut on last weeks overnight trip, one of course went back. A mix of haddock and Pollock made up the other 700 fish they took home.
James Katsaros was the lucky one with the 56″, 91 lb. keeper halibut this time!
Call to book for your chance at a halibut!
