Enjoy a Unique Yankee Whale Watching Advantage

We have a whole fleet of vessels, some leaving as early as 5am. - all on the look-out for whales! We spend more time viewing whales and less time trying to find them! Yankee fishing excursions travel to the world renowned whale feeding areas known as Stellwagen Bank and Jeffrey's Ledge. Our whale watching captains communicate about current whale sightings with our early morning Deep Sea Fishing captains who have been out for hours earlier that morning.

Recognition for Commitment to Conservation & Research

Yankee Whale Watching and Deep Sea Fishing is proud of Jerry Hill, our founder and president, a leader on the advisory council for the Stellwagen Bank National Marine Sanctuary - at that time, the only representative from any whale watching organization. Our sister operation in Key West Florida has also been singled out as a leader, as a member on the National Environmental Performance Track of the EPA. This hand in hand commitment to conservation and research assures the future for these magnificent whales.

    Bird Sightings

The bird sightings over the past couple weeks have been up and down as well, further indicating that the bait fish were shifting with changing ocean currents. On the best days, we're still seeing the usual suspects including Juvenile Northern Gannets, Greater Shearwaters, a few Sooty Shearwaters here and there, Common Terns, Wilson's Storm Petrels, and both the Herring and Black-Backed Gulls.
