After a day off, we were right back at it with 2 charters. The Yankee Clipper left the dock at 6am. They managed to jump on a great bite as soon as they started fishing. They limited out on cod. Then chased the haddock around. Great day !
We were an hour and a half behind the on the Yankee Freedom. By the time we arrived the big bite was over. We managed a steady pick all day. More cod than haddock. A few good sized cusk were added to the mix. Not a bad day
The George Cabral Benefit Trip has been rescheduled for Wednesday May 24th The Yankee Patriot will leave the dock at 7am returning 4pm. All proceeds will benefit the Cabral family. Bring your best George story with you. Lets celebrate George’s life. Where he loved to be.

Today is the opening of cod season. It has been a tough Spring, Both the weather, and fishing has been disappointing. We haven’t been able to locate any haddock. But in our search, we have seen a lot of cod. Today is the day we can keep them. we are running our 7 day a week schedule. Our first trip to Cashes and Fippinies is tonight. The schedule is on the website. My next report will be Thursday on our way in from the 2 day trip.
Our thoughts and prayers go out to everyone in Boston. God bless you all.
Headed out this morning with high hopes. Unfortunately the day didn’t go as planned. The haddock are still hiding out. And very well I might add. We got a few nice cod on the first stop. Back over rail they went. The rest of the trip was very slow. Come on cod season !!!!!!
