The GLOUCESTER SCHOONER FESTIVAL is the annual commemoration of the significance of the classic fishing schooner to the history of Gloucester, the oldest fishing port on the East Coast. For three days, the City’s harbor hosts a unique mix of old and new, as modern day fishermen share their home port with the traditional vessels of an earlier era.

What to bring:
Sleeping bag and pillow, but bedding is available upon request.  Minimal toiletries (no blow dryers or curling irons – we’re roughing it!). Jacket or windbreaker – it’s cool at night and when the vessel is moving!  Hat, sunscreen, P.J.’s, sunbathing attire, towel, facecloth, camera, sensible, non-skid boat shoes or TEVA style (rubber-soled, non-skid) sandals.    We highly recommend taking a non-drowsy, over the counter medicine (Bonine, Dramamine) 3 hours prior to boarding.

• Day Adventures at Yankee Whale Watching

Half Day Fishing is running daily Monday-Friday 8-12:30 and Saturday and Sunday 3:30-8.  We do offer some 8-12:30 on the weekends so please inquire.

Whale Watching is departing Monday-Friday, 1:30-5:30 and weekends 2:30-6:30.  Times may vary so always call or book ahead!

Trips depart for the week of 6/21-6/28 from 25 Rogers St.  next to the restaurant Latitude 43.  If you are not scheduled for this week parking and check in are located at 44 Commercial St. in Gloucester.  For questions regarding parking please call us at 800-942-5464.

For those of you looking to make reservations, we highly suggest booking in advance to ensure yourself a position on board.  Trips depart East Gloucester Marina located at 121 East Main St. in Gloucester.

Remember if rain is in the forecast fish don’t mind getting wet, and some people do.  This means less people, a more comfortable boat and a great fishing day for you!!

Private Charters consist of All Day Fishing, Half Day Fishing, Whale Watching, Overnight Fishing, Evening Cruises and all Custom Charters.

Combo trips are also a favorite among groups.  This trip allows you to get whale watching and fishing in all in the same day!

Our Special allows repeat customers to book at the price they paid for their last charter with Yankee Fleet.

For new customers you are able to lock into our past season 2009 rates.

Private charters are available as early as Mid March-November.
