Change to schedule for Thanksgiving weekend.

We have decided because of the popularity of the marathon trips. We will be running a Super Friday trip the day after Thanksgiving. Friday Nov. 27. 5am-5pm. Saturday and Sunday will run regular trips 7am-4pm

THANKSGIVING WEEKEND WILL BE OUR LAST TRIPS OF THE 2015 SEASON.

THANK YOU TO ALL THAT HAVE SUPPORTED US. WE HOPE YOU HAVE A GREAT WINTER. SEE YOU ALL IN THE SPRING.

    Weekend change of plans.

Because of the wind forecast for Thursday. We have decided to run the 5am-5pm marathon on Saturday. These trips have been fantastic. Having the extra fishing time really makes a difference.

Let’s not forget that the restrictions on haddock end on Sunday November 1st. That means we can keep them again. Between the large pollock and the haddock, fishing should be great.

If you are planning on going fishing this time of year, please call and make a reservation. We have had to cancel trips due to low reservations. Then have people that have driven hours to get here, only to find out the trip isn’t going. Had reservations been made there may have been enough people to send the trip.

    Fish Report Update 9/13 & 9/14

We are still fishing!  September 13 and 14 were our most recent trips out.  We had a good crowd and although the bite was still “picky, remedy ” we did see some nice size pollock come aboard.

Big Fish 28lb. Pollock was caught by Anthony, Saturday 9/13 on the Yankee Clipper.

We are back at it this weekend heading out today 9/20, with Captain Rob, 7am-5pm and Sunday, 7am-5pm.  Keep your eyes open for the report!

    Yankee Fleet’s Fall Season – 2014

Yankee Fleet will continue to fish well into the fall as usual. We will be targeting Pollock, physician cusk, hake and red fish. Haddock season will reopen November 1st.

    FALL SCHEDULE:

Extended Excursions – Friday thru Sunday – 7am-5pm

**Reservations are strongly suggested!  To reserve you can either book online at www.yankeefleet.com or by calling us at 855-5GO-FISH (546-3474)

Captain Rob has worked hard and done his do diligence in honing in on the Pollock. He reports he is confident in the success this fall.  His deep water trips also will continue with high expectations.

Capt John has done an excellent job on the Offshore trips to Cashes. The decision to go to Cashes has been nice with almost exacting results for the different species.

The NEW really distant trip to Georges Bank is getting more and more exciting (check out overnight fishing on the website www.yankeefleet.com). These trips allow us to get out of the Gulf of Maine regulations, with a size of 22 inches and no bag limit. We continue to talk to fishermen that have been there, getting intel and suggestions. The anticipation, and expectations are high.   We are getting the boat ready and an added bonus of  having a commercial grade vacuum package machine available to help keep what you catch longer and fresher.

Yankee Fleet believes strongly in the conservation of our fish and the waters they live. We also believe in the rights of individuals. It is unfortunate how the process of getting to a sustainable fisheries has been fooled by all the smokes and mirrors, and allowing it to come to this.   We will continue to do our part.
