Our Super Thursdays Extended Limited Capacity trips this year have been great. This is what others may call a Marathon, but this is much more. With 40% fewer anglers than our All Day trip, you are guaranteed more elbow room! You will probably get 50% more fishing time than the All Day trip too! It all adds up to a great day at sea! And don't forget our popular Tuesday Limited Capacity. We started this in 2007 and has been a great hit ever since. For those who want extra elbow room, but can't devote the extra time of the extended length trips, this is perfect! Click on these boxes to book online: ![]() |

Whale cod caught on Half Day Trip June 29, 2008!
Whale cod caught on Half Day Trip! 64 1/4 pounds of mammoth Cod! Jen Phelan from Ayer MA, hauled in this great prize on our Half Day Fishing trip! We have had some great fishing this season, and luckily, have not had to travel to the end of the world to get to where we can catch fish. This has been great news for our half day fishing trips. We have had some great trips this year. Mostly, we have been catching Haddock, but on Sunday, Cod fishing was the prize! These Half day Fishing trips are great for those that may want to take their family fishing, but a full day may be much for the younger ones. These are great fun, especially when there is hope to catch some fish. If you have thought of taking the family fishing, this is a great time! |

Friday, July 24, 2008 - Fishing Report
The fishing has been very decent this past week. Good catches of Haddock on our All Day trips. For the most part we have been hanging around the southern portions of Tillies, with consistent success. Our Half Day fishing has been very good as well, which is very encouraging. We have been getting good catches of Haddock and Redfish, making good fun for a family outing. We have had some fun trips this past week, Our overnight Fish n Chicks trip was a big success - this is our annual all-girls fishing seafari. We took in quite a bit of Haddock for these dedicated women. Our annual fishing tournament with Boston Bruins players, dubbed the Bruins Bait and Skate trip, was great fun. The weather held out just long enough! Catching Haddock, Cod and Red fish, kept everyone busy. There were many prizes for the folks who were fishing with the players, and we raised some money for the Boston Bruins Charitable Foundation. Our Fall Overnight Fishing Trips are starting to get booked. People who like a particular rail position should think about booking sooner rather than later. The Yankee Freedom will be departing thursday evenings around 10 pm, arriving the following evening around 6 pm. The Yankee Freedom is a great Lydia Yacht, built extra heavy duty, with semi private bunk rooms, three Caterpillar Engines for speed, latest equipment. These are fun trips - which start in September. Reservations are suggested so give us a call at 1-800-942-5464. Click here for our directions page Click here for more reports ![]() |

Whale Sightings Report - July 20, 2008
Great news! Trident and her calf have been sighted by several researchers over the past week and a half, including me, and she has completely shed her entanglement in the tuna fishing gear! I first informed you all about the entanglement in my July 6, 2008 report (see Current Reports link ), and I, along with most of you, have been very concerned. I'm so happy to hear, and see, that Trident is doing well and feeding normally with her calf by her side! This was another fantastic week, despite the daily rain bands that moved throughout the Stellwagen Bank area. We were lucky enough to see all three species of whale that we hope to show our passengers including the Minke Whales, Humpback Whales, and Fin whales. The Humpback Whales were breaching and everyone was thrilled! We also had regular sightings each day of Black-backed and Herring Gulls, Greater and Sooty Shearwaters, Wilson's Storm-petrels, and increasing numbers of squawking Common Terns! ....
