Update on Overnights and 18 hour trips
The first two open boat overnight trips have been added to our schedule June 30/July 1st and July 28 / July 29. The price this year is $365 – a small decrease in price from last year.
Yankee Fleet and its crew work hard to thoroughly prep the boat; we clean the bunk rooms thoroughly prior to overnight trips (mattress covers, bulkheads, and all personal space areas) and make as much space for our passengers as possible – 16 passenger maximum will be on these trips.
The plan is to fish Cashes Ledge. Last season we made it to Platts on three trips and Fippinies on one. Platts produced better fishing and we took a bluefin while trolling. Our trip to Fippinies last year showed us some strong currents and tides leading to some difficult fishing.
Yankee Fleet has hosted many successful trips to Cashes on the Yankee Freedom and we will target areas that yielded good fishing for us previously.
Overnight trips may exceed 24 hours and departure times may be a few hours earlier then currently advertised. Anybody that books will be contacted by the office regarding itinerary.
18 hour trips will be added in the fall, consideration is being given to running just one in May or early June. The 18 hour trips will be priced around $250. Thank you to all our customers for showing interest in these trips.
Please email [email protected] with any inquiries. Additional trips that will sail later in the season will be added to the schedule in June.
