Action packed marathon this week!

Good bite on todays jig fishing marathon trip.

The Thursday marathon was a very productive trip. Any time there was the slightest lull, the captain moved the boat, and the slamathon was on again!

Epic marathon yesterday aboard the Yankee Clipper! The 3rd stop was a 3 hour long, non stop, slamathon of large pollock, cusk, large reds and 3 large hake with a few dozzen haddock mixed in. We also jigged up some nice big codfish at the final anchorage of the day.

Weather was great for opening day cod fishing yesterday and we managed to get some nice cod!

Although the weather was windy on today, we had a great 12 hour marathon trip!

The first deep water jigging trip had a lot of action. The big pollock were hungry. Unfortunately, the blue sharks were extra hungry as well, and they spooled many of the customers reels.

Saturday’s marathon private charter wanted to go deep water jigging and we nailed the pollock!! Join us on Sundays for our Deep Water Jigging Marathons!!

Great day on the yankee clipper over all! However, the dogfish are really pervasive right now…

Monday was action packed with lots of haddock, cusk and dogfish.
