Yankee Star 9/11-9/12 Overnight to Platts

Overall great trip, slow night bite this round with loads of squid and cusk coming up. Sunrise and a tide change turned on the fish.

Weather was great and the crew drift fished during all the daylight fishing. Great mix of pollock, haddock, and some cusk. Sharks were around, which made a couple stops go quiet but some quick moves turned the bite back on; most anglers that fished throughout the trip took home 35-40 fish. Lots of large quality fish came up and we saw a mix of all sizes throughout the trip – 17 lb pollock won the pool.

We have 2 more overnights on the schedule for the rest of season and both have space. Thanks to our customers for selling out this past trip.

September 25-26 and October 9-10 are the last 2 for the season.
