Wednesday 4/30 – Full Day on the Yankee Clipper Overall steady, spent most of the day on anchor with a mix of experience on the boat. Fish at every stop, but never had an absolute feeding frenzy. Experienced anglers had 5+ keepers others just had a few, and some cusk and redfish in the mix….

Wednesday 4/23 – Full Day on the Yankee Clipper Consistent bite all day on drifts. A little slower than last week with shorts in the mix but everyone was getting bites. Yankee Clipper – 4/17 12 hour marathon The day started off with a great bite on anchor that lasted about 2 hours over two stops. The bite cooled off a little bit, but picked back up again in a drift. The fish were biting harder again in the afternoon but more shorts in the mix….

4/10 Marathon on the Yankee Clipper Great weather this time of year, and we drifted all day. The haddock bite improved from the weekend. The Yankee Clipper kicked off the season fishing full day trips all weekend. Saturday showed us some tougher sea conditions and we spent the whole day on anchor making several stops averaging about 30 min each with a very quick first stop. The fish would bite then cool off quickly requiring us to move frequently….

Big pollock are coming over the rail on our jig trips. The bite so far turns on fast and cools off. Experienced anglers catch them quick and really load up. Still have some space this Sunday and weather looks good so far.

The Yankee Clipper and Yankee Star have been producing good trips. Anglers have been seeing a good haddock bite and some people are getting close to their limit on marathons. Pollock and Cod are coming up too.

Anglers are getting some big cod and pollock on jigs. Experienced anglers are seeing 10+ haddock on good days. The dogfish thankfully have been minimal, mostly keeper fish coming up. Photos from past few days.

Fishing has been hot the past few weeks. The boats for the most part are avoiding the dogfish now; we see some, but way more keepable fish. Experienced anglers get their limit of haddock some days. Everyone is seeing haddock, cod, pollock, and some lucky anglers are seeing some large white hake.

Anglers on the Yankee Clipper are hooking some big pollock and cod on the full day trips. The dogfish are hot and cold, some days we have to fish through them and move and other days we barely see them.
